Post Graduate Diploma in School Leadership and Management (PGDSLM)



The Programme aims at developing essential skills, competencies and values need for effective school leadership and management. It also enable principals to create an effective and enabling environment, develop a cadre of talented and competent principals and improve the capacity and performance of schools. The programme has been developed in collaboration with the Education Section of the Commonwealth Secretariat.

The Programme is of one year duration. There are five courses (i) Principals as School Leaders (ii) Human Resource Development (iii) Managing Teaching-Learning (iv) School Management and Financial Management and (v) Leadership for Better Schools. The programme has been developed in English. The programme, however, is yet not being offered in India as need assessment is being carried out.
